What is Motorsports? Basically it is the combination of sports which primarily involve the use of motorized vehicles. This sport covers all forms of motor racing as well as non-racing motorized sports. Moreover, there are many other categories of motorsports which don't involve racing. There are various types of motorsports which includes auto racing, motorcycle racing, truck racing, air racing, hydroplane racing, motorboat racing, snowmobile racing and lawn mower racing. The famous single-seater race, where wheels are not covered, and the cars often have aerofoil wings front and rear to produce down force and enhance adhesion to the track. GP2 is another major globally renowned single-seater car racing series. Previously known as Formula 3000 and Formula Two similarly in Asian Regional series include Formula Nippon and Formula V6, Formula Renault 3.5 Rallying, at most international car racing and at most national championship events, levels involves two kinds of homologated road legal production based car; Group N Production cars and more modified Group A cars. Interestingly, racing cars compete on (closed) public roads or off-road areas run on a point-to-point format where participants and their co-drivers "rally" to a set of points, leaving in regular intervals from start points. Another famous car race is drag racing which involves the objective to complete a given straight-line distance, from a standing start, ahead of a vehicle in a parallel lane. The focal distance is 400 mile, though 200 mile has become popular since the 1990s. Dependency is on the class of racing, as the racing cars may or may not be given the signal to start at the same time, Vehicles range from the ordinary car to the purpose-built racing car. On the same time speeds and elapsed time differ from class to class. Exciting and adventurous sport of Motorcycle trials is another non-speed event on specialized motorbikes, which is famous in the United Kingdom and Spain. Bikers participate from all over the globe. Trial motorbikes are extreme level lightweight and distinctive in nature, they are designed to be ridden standing up and have suspension travel that is short, relative to enduro motorcycle or a motocross. Meanwhile road racing is the racing of motorbikes on purpose-built racing circuits or on closed public roads. On the other hand, another category of motorbike road racing involves Grand Prix motorbike racing. This is divided into three distinct categories as 125 cc, 250 cc and 800 cc Moto GP. Superbike racing is a category of motorbike racing that includes modified production motorbikes. Superbike racing motorbikes requires four stroke engines of between 800 cc and 1200 cc for twins, and between 750 cc and 1000 cc for four cylinder machines. The Supersport racing is another prominent category of motorcycle road racing that includes modified production motorbikes. Supersport racing relies on motorbike which has a four-stroke engine of between 400-600 cc for four-cylinder machines. Began with the Targa Florio, there are many races including Targa Tasmania which was held on the Australian island state of Tasmania run annually since 1992. The name Targa comes from a former motoring event held on the island of Sicily. Its competition concept is drawn directly from the best features of the Mille Miglia, the Coupe des Alpes and the Tour de Corse.
