| Boxing, a daring game which is supervised by a referee engaged in during a series of 3 minute intervals called rounds and the player generally of equal weight. A boxing match moves around a pre planned three-minute rounds. There could be total 12-15 number of rounds. One minute is normally spent by the fighters with their coach and staff between two rounds, in opposite corners receiving advice and attention from them. Due to strict rules, a boxer cannot hit the competitor, below his belt even holding, tripping, pushing, biting, spitting or wrestling is not allowed. For protection, the fighter's shorts are raised so the competitor is restricted to hit to the specific area. If he violates the rules, referee may rule "fouls". Even the referee can issue deduct points, warnings, or even disqualify a player, causing an automatic loss, depending on the seriousness and intentionality of the foul. Four basic punches are there in a match. These can be Jab, Straight right/left, Hook, and uppercut. Jab is an abrupt, straight punch thrown with the lead hand from the guard position. On the other hand Cross is a very powerful straight hit thrown with the rear hand. If we talk about Hook, it is a half circle punch thrown with the lead hand to the side of the opponent's head. Uppercut is done by holding the back knee bent in a classical fighting style. During the match a player is awarded a knockout usually when the other player is unable to stand stood from the canvas within a specified period of time, normal because of fatigue, serious injury or temporarily incapacitating, moreover a bleeding cut above the eye can blind a boxer, loss of balance, or unconsciousness that is, a player may literally be knocked out. Women’s boxing is another appealing and interesting type of this game. Firstly appeared in the Olympic Games in 1904 later it was banned in most nations in 20th century. Female fighting is fan base and is growing with a lot of media exposure and interesting fights. But if compared to typical and traditional men's game, it lacked popularity level and exposure. Previously this sport was largely controlled by a Mob until the new hard rock champion; Muhammad Ali appeared in the arena. Ali won the gold medal in the arena of Rome Olympics in 1960 and on that time the experts did not think much of his magical skills. This sport is a combination of physical and mental strength. A player’s practice is 95% physical and 5% mental. A player has to concentrate on the game while keeping his mental strength in accordance with your physical game. Reputation of a mentally tough boxer can be developed if one can concentrated on his mental skills. Most sports journalists have a common opinion that this sport is currently “dead” in US. But in these days promoters have been doing a much better job over the last several years making better quality fights and much more fan-friendly match-ups, but this isn’t creating the kind of enthusiasm promoters had hoped.
